| 4:00PM | Faith & Family Night with Lincoln Saltdogs Join us for an evening of food, fellowship and baseball at Faith and Family Night with the Lincoln Saltdogs
Come out Sunday, August 10 for the Saltdogs' Faith and Family Night at Haymarket Park when the Saltdogs take on the Saint Paul Saints at 6:05 p.m The festivities will begin with a conference hosted, pre-game tailgate party to take place in the south parking lot of Haymarket Park, near the center boulevard at 4 p.m. All are encouraged to come and enjoy FREE hotdogs and soda. The evening will also feature music from the pop/rock/funk Christian group, "No Better Cause." The conference is offering youth a free general admission ticket when they purchase one of the tickets for $5. This offer is eligible to groups, so youth groups are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. | Multi-day event. | Singer/Songwriter Retreat The annual Singer/Songwriter Retreat, August 14-17 at beautiful Mount Sequoyah is less than a month away. The retreat will feature eight workshops and showcase two concerts. Workshops available: Lyric Writing, God is in the Details; Thumbpicking: Then & Now; What Now; Song Form and Rhyme Schemes; Songwriting Outside the Box, Songwriting as a Spiritual Practice; Songwriting 101.

Hendrix College, Conway, Arkansas A gathering offered United Methodist leaders from across the South Central Jurisdiction to inform and challenge the church to respond faithfully and compassionately to the challenges of immigration. Speakers will include: Bishop Charles Crutchfield of Arkansas, Bishop Minerva Carcano, Bill Mefford of General Board of Church and Society, Mark Sills addressing the root causes of immigration, and Joan Maruskin author of "The Bible as an Immigration Handbook."
