New Volunteers in Mission site in Nebraska
Taking a mission trip has never been so easy! United Methodist Ministries_Missouri River District (aka Big Muddy) has recently been accredited as an official Volunteer in Mission (VIM) site. What does this mean to your group or your church? You can have a VIM mission experience that supports Methodist related missions in Nebraska. According to the Rev. Stephanie Ahlschwede, executive director of United Methodist Ministries, "The VIM credential means that anyone who works with United Methodist Ministries to plan service work in the Missouri River District is not just doing mission but participating in a VIM project. We have worked with a number of smaller churches who really wanted to participate in VIM, but were concerned about travel distance, time commitment and cost. With VIM so close to home, we should be able to drastically increase the number of VIM participants from our Conference."The experience can be for a day, three days or a week! Packages can be personalized for a total mission experience. Call Lisa Maupin at 402-898-9862 or lmaupin@ummj.com for more information or to schedule your VIM trip.
