Disaster Committee

The committee's purpose is to help organize District Response Teams that, in the spirit of Jesus Christ, are well prepared to respond to catastrophic disasters, coordinating efforts of local responders, as well as teams from outside the community. Through this organized effort, the United Methodist Church in Nebraska can minister to people who are dealing with many kinds of losses that result from natural and or man-made disasters.

Goals and Objectives

1. Hold a Conference-wide disaster training event.
   
2. Maintain a link with NEVOAD (Nebraska Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster).
